Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Pre-Submission Information for Comments: The comment must have been rejected for publication by the journal where the original study was published prior to submission to JCRE. The respective rejection letter must be submitted with the manuscript.
  • Pre-Submission Information for Replications: I your replication finds different results than the original study, then you must have attempted to contact the authors of the original study to resolve any discrepancies prior to submission to JCRE. The respective correspondence with the original authors must be submitted.
  • The submission fullfills the requirements of the Authors’ Contract.
  • The submission meets the requirements stated in the General Information for Submissions to JCRE.

Author Guidelines

If you desire to publish a replication or a comment in the JCRE, please read and follow the General Information for Submissions (i) and the Guidelines for Manuscripts (ii), both of which apply to all authors, in addition to the respective Guidelines (iii) either for Replication Studies or Comments.

Please note:

  • If you submit a comment, the comment has been rejected by the journal where the original study was published prior to submission to JCRE. The rejection letter must be submitted.
  • If you are submitting a replication that finds different results than the original study, then you have attempted to contact the authors of the original study to resolve any discrepancies prior to submission to JCRE. Any correspondence with the original authors must be submitted.

By submitting a paper, authors implicitly accept the authors´' contract as set out in JCRE Guidelines. Therefore, please be sure to read and follow the guidelines found on the JCRE website.

Articles

Pre-Submission Information for Comments and Replications:

JCRE will only consider comments that have first been rejected by the journal in which the original study was published. The respective rejection letter must be submitted with the manuscript.

If the replicating study is unable to reproduce the original study’s findings, the replicating authors must provide evidence upon submission that they have attempted to contact the original authors to resolve any discrepancies. The respective correspondence with the original authors must be submitted.
