Submission Preparation ChecklistAs part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- Pre-Submission Information for Comments: The comment must have been rejected for publication by the journal where the original study was published prior to submission to JCRE. The respective rejection letter must be submitted with the manuscript.
- Pre-Submission Information for Replications: I your replication finds different results than the original study, then you must have attempted to contact the authors of the original study to resolve any discrepancies prior to submission to JCRE. The respective correspondence with the original authors must be submitted.
- The submission fullfills the requirements of the Authors’ Contract.
The submission meets the requirements stated in the General Information for Submissions to JCRE.
The submission meets the requirements of the JCRE guidelines for either replication studies or comments.
Pre-Submission Information for Comments and Replications:
JCRE will only consider comments that have first been rejected by the journal in which the original study was published. The respective rejection letter must be submitted with the manuscript.
If the replicating study is unable to reproduce the original study’s findings, the replicating authors must provide evidence upon submission that they have attempted to contact the original authors to resolve any discrepancies. The respective correspondence with the original authors must be submitted.
